Is it really anonymous?
You sign in with a single tap and receive an automatic anonymous handle. No phone number, email, or SIM is required or stored. The service has no way to tie your conversations to a real-world identity.
What exactly is end-to-end encrypted?
Your device encrypts messages and call audio before they leave your phone. Only the recipient's device holds the key to decrypt them. Not even the servers relaying the data can read it — they only ever handle ciphertext.
How does the 5-minute trial work?
Every new device gets full access for 5 minutes — enough to try messaging and a call. After that, unlock the full app with a monthly or yearly subscription.
How do I activate my subscription?
After subscribing, you receive a code like WHAT-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX. Open the app, tap the code field on the activation screen, and paste it in. Done.
One subscription = one device?
Yes. Each subscription is bound to one active device. If you switch phones, simply enter your code on the new device — your identity and chats move with you and the old device is deactivated.
What happens to my messages?
Messages are encrypted and ephemeral by design: messages expire after 7 days and media after 12 hours. You can delete anything instantly, for you or for everyone, whenever you choose.
